Here are the materials you will be needing:
Steel Tape Measure
Paper and pen (For recording and marking) or a printed copy of Accugine Measurement Form
Step 1: Decide whether you want your blinds INSIDE or OUTSIDE Mounted
Because before anything else, you have to consider first if you want your window blinds to be inside mounted or outside mounted.
Why choose an inside mount?
-Preserve the appearance of the window case
-Offers the cleanest and presentable look
Why choose an outside mount?
- #1 reason: If your window case doesn’t have enough depth (it should have at least 2 and half inch depth)
-Perfect for covering non-square window
-Hides the unwelcoming parts
-Completely eliminates light
-Fits in sleeping area
Step 2: Download our Accugine Measurement Form (Optional)
Step 3: Measure your window opening
INSIDE MOUNTED
Here are the steps if you want your window blinds inside mounted:
Measure the depth of your window casing
Check if it meets the recommended depth (it should be at least 2 and half inch)
Take the width of the window opening, measure 2 to 3 width lengths: preferably, top, middle and the bottom
Round all the measurements into the nearest 1/8 inch
Write down all the records (in our Accugine Measurement Form or your own)
Take the height of the window opening. Measure 2 to 3 height lengths: preferably, left, center and the right
Round all the measurements into the nearest 1/8 inch
Write down all the records (in our Measurement Checklist or your own)
Encircle the smallest measurement of the width and subtract 1/4 inch from the total width. Write this adjusted width in the checklist.
Similarly for the height, encircle the smallest measurement and write this in the adjusted height without any changes.
Double check your measurements
Identify preferred placement of the handle (left or right)
Now you have inside mounted!

OUTSIDE MOUNTED:
Meanwhile, here are the steps if you want your window blinds outside mounted:
Examine the window opening and see if there are obstructions around the perimeter (i.e. switches, center moulding etc.)
Take the width and height of the window opening. No need to measure 3 width lengths.
Round all the measurements into the nearest 1/8 inch
Write down all the records (in our Accugine Measurement Form or your own)
Add at least 4 inches on the total width and 5 inches on the total height
Write down the adjusted width and height at the designated section
Double check your measurements.
Identify preferred placement of the handle (left or right)
Easy as that for the outside mounted!

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. The measuring method is applicable in every single panel. So if you are going to cover 2 or more panels, make sure to measure each one (as how stated above) even if they look exactly the same in size to assure the total accuracy. Small differences matter!
2. Always check for obstructions around the window opening.
3. If you’re not used to reading tape measures, you may want to use tape measures with fractional markings
4. Take note of where you place the cord/handle
Easy right? Just follow these steps and you don’t need to worry if your blinds fit your windows.
